DMP is a unique regression therapy that combines active imagination, hypnotic regression, psychodrama, Gestalt, body therapy and transpersonal psychology.
DMP was developed by Roger J. Woolger, Ph.D, drawing from the work of Jung, Freud, Reich and shamanic and spiritual traditions. A widely applicable therapy, it has been successfully used in treating difficulties in relationships; issues of self-esteem and personal empowerment; post-traumatic reactions to war, violence and devastating loss.
As the name suggests, DMP reaches the core of a problem by working with issues at a very deep, unconscious level. You are guided to journey back through your life, to childhood or perhaps beyond, to past lives, focusing on physical awareness, using psychodrama to help release blocked memories and patterns that are held in the body and impacting on your life today. In this way traumatic events are worked through, allowing for powerful release and completing ‘unfinished business’ on all levels.
DMP transforms and releases trauma in the body, emotions, mind and spirit in one comprehensive process.
A DMP session usually lasts about two hours. Usually more than one session is necessary but occasionally radical changes can occur in one or two sessions. DMP can be used alone or may be integrated with other, ongoing therapies.
How does DMP work?
In a safe and caring environment you will be helped, if appropriate, to:
· clearly recognise the core issues or complexes running your life
· journey in time to resolve childhood and other traumas
· vividly relive and resolve emotional conflicts through a healing psychodrama
· develop somatic awareness of deep memories to release them from your body
· let go of old unwanted ancestral patterns and influences
· integrate wounded soul fragments (‘past lives’)
· clear your energy field of negative influences
· open up with love to higher spiritual resources within yourself
DMP helps if -
· you suffer from anxiety, phobias or stress
· you have unexplained chronic aches and pains
· you have suffered a severe shock or trauma that still haunts you
· your relationships always fall apart
· you are functioning at less than your full potential or feel ’stuck’
· something holds you back from living your life fully.
